666, the number of the beast. ExplanationOn this day, the short-hand representation of the calendar will read 6/6/06 or to some, 666. In the bible, this number represents the Beast and in modern times, has come to represent Lucifier or the devil. It is believed to bring bad luck or worse. Some people wish to be more precise and recognize the exact time of day as well (6pm). To get even more technical, the exact second is accounted for... as 6 hours, 6 minutes and 6 seconds. All of this seems rather meaningless as there are so many possible combination of 6's that could be found. June 6, 2006 lands on a Tuesday, which unfortunately, is not the sixth day of the week. As heard on The Hour, this date is also known to some as "Slayer Day". The term is coined by fans of the thrash rock band Slayer as a day to celebrate their music. ConsequenceNothing is predicted to happen. Similar dates have passed many times in the past without consequence. The last occurance of this event is June 6, 1996.
